A little plant of babyleaves in a bouquet shape. It has a distinctive sweet, nutty flavour and is great for using in mixed salads or on its own. Its name comes from it the fact that the leaf resembles a lamb’s tongue in shape and size but it has a variety of names across Europe and the USA alone – including nut lettuce, field lettuce and Rapunzel! Grown in Italy as a protected crop both conventionally and organically for twelve months of the year.
